Urban areas generate large volumes of greywater from households, hostels, and institutions, much of which is discharged untreated due to the high cost, complexity, and maintenance requirements of conventional water treatment systems. This leads to water wastage, health risks from contaminants, and increased pressure on freshwater resources. Additionally, most existing systems lack real-time monitoring, making it difficult to detect water quality issues or predict potential waterborne disease risks early.

AquaMind addresses this challenge with a smart, IoT-based greywater treatment system that enables affordable, real-time water recycling. Using an ESP32-based controller, quality sensors, and automated dual-pump filtration, the system continuously monitors and purifies greywater through modular, low-cost filter layers (mesh, nylon, sand, coir), achieving up to ~95% purification.

An integrated machine learning model analyzes water quality data to predict potential contamination or disease risks, triggering in-app alerts and SMS notifications for timely action. Designed as a low-cost (~₹30K), scalable, and sustainable solution, AquaMind makes safe greywater reuse practical for residential and institutional environments while promoting responsible water management.
